Excellent Education And A Healthy Sports History

The school district has seven elementary schools, Cheston, Forks, March, Palmer, Paxinosa, Shawnee and Tracy, Easton Area Middle School, and Easton Area High School. Easton Area High School has a longstanding rivalry with Phillipsburg High School, and their football teams play an annual Thanksgiving Day game that is considered one of the oldest rivalries in high school football. Easton area high school athletes also participate in the East Penn Conference,and the school holds the third highest number of LVIAC championships in all sports.

Within the College Hill district of Easton lies Lafayette College, established in 1826. A small yet prestigious university, Lafayette is home to approximately 2,500 undergraduate students. A private liberal arts school, the college is considered a Hidden Ivy, and their athletic’s program’s rivalry with Lehigh University has led to the most played rivalry in the history of college football, with the two teams having played over 150 games thus far.
