Well, welcome to Downtown Jensen Beach, Florida, where the party starts with Jammin Jensen every Thursday from 6-9:30 p.m., and it’s free. I went there last week, and it’s a hit for all ages! It is so much fun in this quaint small town with an “old Florida” feeling.  I walked around, watched the people, listened to the music, and relaxed.  In this busy world, it is something to cherish to immerse yourself in the moment of this charming town and, by the way…… it’s dog friendly. 

The Pineapple Capital of the World: A Brief History of Jensen Beach

‌Jensen Beach is located on the Treasure Coast of Florida. It is known for its beaches, fishing, and boating, with charming historic homes and cottages lined with picket fences.  This town hosts an annual Pineapple Festival in honor of the area’s historical connection to the pineapple industry.  This area was the Pineapple Capital of the world, dating back to 1881.  Back then, there were pineapple plantations, and we shipped over 1 million pineapples each year.   It is also a quick drive across the bridge to the Atlantic Ocean to enjoy our beautiful beaches and restaurants on our barrier Island named Hutchinson Island.

Jammin Jensen: The Perfect Free Activity for All Ages

One of the best parts of Jammin Jensen is the live music from local bands! It will surely make you want to dance up and down the BLVD. or sit and enjoy the music at one of the boutique restaurants, or wander and experience the ambiance of local music as you stroll.

A Night Out in Downtown Jensen Beach: From Dining to Ice Cream

Make an evening out of it by grabbing a bite at a local restaurant.  Everything from Mom and Pop eateries to 5-star dining, like Crawdaddy’s, Mulligans, Peter’s Steak House, 11 Maple Street, Crabby’s, or Tako Tiki. Then end the evening with an ice cream from Jan’s or The Scoop or a nightcap at Cork’d, Mulligans, or Lures. 

You may want to explore this old town feeling by driving or walking along the water.  You can instantly tell this is a water town with marinas and plenty of boats cruising down the river. 

Finding Your Paradise in Jensen Beach, Florida

You may consider hanging your hat here for a weekend or a lifetime.  There are unique Air B & B’s and the beautiful Hutchinson Island Shores Hotel on the beach for a short stay.  Want to make this your home either part-time or year-round? Condominiums are nearby, allowing you to walk to this area, cross the causeway, and live on the beach.  Or, there is a great selection of homes in the nearby area and size and price for all.  

You will most likely find whatever your heart desires in this beautiful tropical paradise.  Most of all, the friendly people who give Jensen Beach that hometown feel are priceless for everyone who visits or calls this home.
